3 Observations: Bills 16 Cowboys 6

The game that we deserved. Throughout the course of the game I had to splash cold water on my face to make sure I wasn’t having flashbacks to an August preseason game. I had my texted a few of my friends asking if they wanted to head to the beach after the game, but they reminded me it was late December. Continue reading

Upon Further Review: Redskins 35 Bills 25

A pathetic performance by the Bills in the 1st half had Bills fans seeing red and feeling blue.

Summing this game up perfectly is the famous WGR call from a few years back: “what a freaking waste of jet fuel.” I could make so many comparisons between the Bills and the politicians in Washington DC but they’re probably not as funny as I think they are. However, I don’t care so here’s a few of them. Envision me reading these in a nasally north Buffalo accent, with about 25 years of cigarettes in my lungs.

“Congress has passed more bills than the Bills have completed passes, and that’s saying something!” Continue reading

Upon Further Review: Bills 30 Texans 21

With their backs against the proverbial wall, the Buffalo Bills stepped up when they needed to most and sealed the deal on a crucial win to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Bills maintained control of the game, failing to relinquish the lead that they had established early. A surge from the Texans in which they tied the game left some worry amongst the fans, but the offense quickly answered the bell as they scored the game winning touchdown. Here are my two biggest takeaways from Sunday’s victory: Continue reading

Upon Further Review: Bills vs Chiefs

A crucial game on the 2015 schedule ended in yet another disappointing result for the Buffalo Bills. Statistically, the Bills could have gone a long way in helping their chances at a playoff spot had they gone into Kansas City and left with a win. It didn’t go that way, as we all know, and now the Bills find themselves in a precarious position on the outside of the AFC playoff picture. A game that left fans scratching their heads will go down as one of the most memorable losses in a while, which is saying something. As opposed to the usual level-headed perspective, I’ll be taking the view of a fan for this week’s review. Continue reading

3 Observations: Patriots 20 Bills 13

Even though Tom Brady spent much of Monday on the ground, it still wasn’t enough to beat the Patriots. (Getty Images)

Monday Night Football brings a feeling of excitement and relevance to any fan base, especially in Buffalo. Add the Patriots to the equation, and an already rabid fan base was ready to lose its collective mind in anticipation of the late Monday kickoff. A long line of demoralizing losses in Foxboro, Massachusetts have traditionally left fans rethinking the season, and shattering expectations. On Monday, the Bills did what they needed to in order to win, but ultimately fell victim to the same mishaps that have kept them in the cellar of the AFC standings for 16 years. A game that the Bills could have, arguably even should have, won will leave a bitter taste in the mouths of Bills fans once again on Monday Night Football. Continue reading

Another Miami visit to Buffalo in a familiar result for Bills fans. This time around, things were more competitive than they were when the Bills visited Miami in September, but it was ultimately another blowout in the favor of the Bills. The Bills get back on track with a much needed win at home.   Continue reading

A strange game in London ended with an all too familiar result for Bills fans on Sunday morning. A whirlwind of highs and lows ultimately ended up swinging the way of Jacksonville Jaguars by way of an excruciating 34-31 loss. The storyline in this game is very straightforward, as we all know. EJ Manuel giftwrapped 20 points and personally delivered it to the door of Jaguars coach Gus Bradley. Point blank, end of story, this is why the Bills lost the game. Despite everything else that happened during the course of the game (and man, there was a lot), nothing was as detrimental as EJ’s debacle of a second quarter.   Continue reading

Celebrate Bills fans: Your team escaped Tennessee with a win (Getty Images)

Whew. Somehow, someway, the Buffalo Bills managed to find their way out of Nashville with a victory. Things started off slowly for the Bills once again, but on the heels of some brilliant plays by Tyrod Taylor and some exceptionally strong second half defense, the Bills squeaked out a 14-13 win.  Continue reading

It was a sloppy effort from the Bills at Ralph Wilson Stadium on Sunday, and resulted in a second home loss of the season, already. Here are 3 observations from the game: Continue reading

The home opener for the Miami Dolphins in their 50th anniversary season could not have gone worse, getting completely dominated in all facets of the game. It was an extremely encouraging sign seeing the Bills bounce back as emphatically as they did on both sides of the ball. The biggest question mark coming into the week was how the Bills would respond after the thrashing doled out by the Patriots in week 2. Thankfully, any fears of a potential hangover were put to rest Sunday in South Florida. Here are 3 takeaways from Sunday’s game:
